Every day is a day to give thanks to God for all the good and the healing blessings we experience. Each day we can see in our lives the power of God-inspired gratitude to bring comfort and refuge. In this season, though, we set aside special time to focus on this gratitude. Special Thanksgiving Services in the Austin Area will be held on Thursday, November 28 at the times listed below. Bound Volumes – First Church Sunday School is providing a temporary home for our bound volumes of periodicals while in the church. The Journals and Sentinels are in bookcases readily accessible in the classroom where you can sit and read.

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

In the following Psalm one word shows, though faintly, the light which Christian Science throws on the Scriptures by substituting for the corporeal sense, the incorporeal or spiritual sense of Deity:
[DIVINE LOVE] is my shepherd; I shall not want.
